Hamish Bowles is the International Editor at Large for Vogue magazine. He is recognized as an authority in the worlds of fashion and interior design and celebrates his own dress in both quirky and majestic ways. In addition to exquisitely tailored Savile Row suits, Bowles is a true dandy who is not afraid of hot pink capes, bold eyeglasses, gloves, crazy facial hair, hats and all manner of male accessories. I have admired his interior design writing (Vogue’s marvelous Houses, Gardens People book, namely) and I just think the way he jauntily mocks the camera is AWESOME. It’s as if Bowles is saying, “Don’t I look smashing? But run along now and do something more productive, photographer.” His sense of fun and mischief is so appealing.
