Sayonara Sweatpants! Part 2: We Have A Winner

Now that sweatpants have been banished from our wardrobe, what is the go-to leisure wear this spring for walking the dog/puttering in the garden/ hosting an impromptu BBQ/throwing in the weekend bag? We crunched the data and… behold the Leisure Wear Bracket, below. Vigilante Living’s analysis suggests that the most comfortable, chic and jaunty leisure outfit consists of Chuck Taylors, a simple fitted t-shirt, and pajama pants. And how apropos: Sunday’s New York Times features a new pajama and undergarment company called Sleepy Jones┬áby Partners & Spade (Andy Spade, Anthony Sperduti & Chad Buri’s genius concept.) All I can say is I am speechless: have these designers put a tracking device in my brain? The pajamas, boxers and underwear are my kind of understated style executed in colorful fabrics. The brand’s whole ethos is utterly Vigilante: pursue leisurely activities in comfort, and maybe find yourself inspired to make some art. These pajamas are like the more amusing, eloquent, badass older brother of Sweatpants. Definitely a winner.

The winner is clearly pajama pants -- the most Vigilante bet is www.sleepyjones.com
